TuKAN :: Remote web access
How to get access to licensed databases
The configuration moved to "http://www.slpk.sk/proxy.pac"; update your settings, please!
Access to the licensed information resources / databases is controlled by the IP address. If the device you are using is on the University network, most electronic resources will allow immediate direct access with no need for a password. If you are working (physically) away from the University (University network) you will need to set up remote web access (TuKAN - authentification via proxy server). On-campus (University network) users do not need remote web access.
Only users affiliated with the university or regular library readers are entitled to this service. The University staff and students are encouraged to provide a corporate email (@uniag.sk). Requests with invalid / unverifiable data will be ignored. Other requests will be processed within 2 workdays of the registrar, if possible. Absences are published in the UIS: https://is.uniag.sk/lide/clovek.pl?id=1792;quick=1, if possible.
After processing the request sent via the registration form, the authorized user will receive detailed information about the next steps (settings, login information) in an e-mail. The login information associated with user is not transferable! Authentication is required only on first attempt to use a licensed informational resource (figures 1 and 2).
- Please, keep in mind that the remote web access is provided only for searching / accessing scholarly, scientific, technical information (access to the licensed information resources of SAL)...
- Account information is for personal use only (any sharing is strictly prohibited!).
- The remote web access is governed by the Rules of conduct in the SUA LAN (university network), SANET (academic network) and Library use policy. Use of the e-resources is subject to their individual licensing policies (no bulk downloads, no sharing, non-commercial use only, in particular).
- The service will be terminated on violation of the conditions.
We do not recommend using small devices (mobile phones / tablets) with e-resources. Effective work with e-resources is, in our experience, possible rather from PC / NB...
Setting up your account (registration) for individual databases can provide you with advanced services.
