The Library offers SUA students and other users with specific needs the following services:
- Advice on working with information and information sources, "library assistance" services.
- Searching for and ordering literature from the library's collection, setting special conditions for loans (e.g., delivery of publications by mail).
- Intermediation of interlibrary loan services.
- Provision of digital copies of study materials, digitization of parts of documents.
- Provision of assistive devices and technical aids, loan of electronic reading magnifiers.
- Library assistance services.
Any student with specific needs can contact the Library Services Department to request personal professional help/assistance from a librarian. Based on the type of request, the SlPK will provide a specialist who will personally assist the student at the requested time in the library.
Provision of digital copies
For some groups of students with specific needs, digital study materials may be more suitable than printed materials. For example, for blind and visually impaired students or students with learning disabilities, it also allows for audio output of text. Access to study materials in digital form is mainly for blind and visually impaired students, other users only on the recommendation of the relevant coordinator.
The library will make a digital copy of the study literature available to the student via the library information system (online catalog). The digital copy will only be available to the student who requested it after logging into KIS. Therefore, students who order study literature in digital form must be registered users of the Library.
Delivery/return of documents by post
The library offers the option of delivering ordered documents from its collection via Slovenská pošta, a. s. (Slovak Post). This service is subject to a fee.
Reading magnifier
An electronic reading magnifier is available in the study room.
Accessibility of premises
The entrance and premises of the library are barrier-free, with the exception of the galleries in the study room. Barrier-free access is provided by an elevator. A barrier-free toilet is located on the ground floor, accessible via the service entrance. The parking space for people with disabilities is the first one from the building.
